CEA is the Atomic & Alternative Energy Council a research state agency employing a staff of 16,000 people. LITEN (Laboratory for Innovation in New Energy Technologies and Nanomaterials) is a CEA institute, the leading centre for new energy technologies in France, with close to 900 people and 500 patents. CEA-LITEN has a huge expertise and background in the field of Li-Ion Batteries and Fuel Cell technologies, and has been working for more than fifteen years in this sector, and participated in many European and French projects with strong industrial relationships. CEA is heading the N.ERGHY Research Grouping of the FCH JU and is a member of standardisation committees ISO TC 197/WG12 and IEC TC 105.
